Project Concern Zambia (PCZ) works with vulnerable children, adolescents, and families, so we take data protection seriously — both for the visitors to this site and, especially, for the communities we serve. This statement explains what we collect and why.
Information we collect
When you use the contact form on this site, we collect the information you provide — typically your name, email address, and message. If you donate through our GlobalGiving page, your payment and contact details are collected and processed by GlobalGiving directly; PCZ receives your name, donation amount, and any message you choose to share, but never your payment card details.
Like most websites, we may collect basic technical information automatically (browser type, general location, pages visited) to understand how the site is used and keep it running well.
How we use it
We use contact form submissions to respond to your inquiry. We use donor information to send receipts, program updates, and thank-you communications, and — only with separate, explicit consent — occasional fundraising updates.
We do not sell or rent visitor or donor information to third parties.
Protecting the people we serve
Stories, photos, and testimonials shared on this site involve real families, including children. We obtain appropriate consent before publishing identifying material, avoid sharing information that could put a beneficiary at risk, and follow safeguarding practices consistent with our donor and partner requirements (including USAID and Global Communities standards).
If you believe any content on this site compromises a beneficiary's safety or dignity, please contact us immediately and we will review it as a priority.
Third-party services
This site embeds content from YouTube and processes donations via GlobalGiving. Interacting with that embedded content is subject to those providers' own privacy policies, not this one.
Data retention and security
We retain contact and donor information only as long as needed for the purposes described above, or as required by funder and legal obligations, and we take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect it from unauthorized access.
Your rights
You can ask us what information we hold about you, request corrections, or ask us to delete it, subject to any legal or funder reporting obligations that require us to keep certain records. Reach out using the contact details below.
